PRACTICAL TRAILER GUIDE

Raft trailer deck and underbelly storage planning

Keep river gear accessible without sacrificing a long paddle channel.

01 / BUYING DECISION

Fit the boat and frame

Measure the inflated raft, assembled frame and anticipated expedition load. Decide whether the boat rides rigged and how it is launched and retrieved.

02 / BUYING DECISION

Plan the locker opening

A thin rear opening beneath the slatted deck can be divided for gear. One channel should remain continuous for paddles or oars over eight feet when specified; ask for the clear opening and usable internal length.

03 / BUYING DECISION

Specify access and protection

Discuss rear gate clearance, water and road debris, lighting, tie-downs, rear roller, winch and spare placement. The riverside visualization shows a proposed layout; the actual project photos show the platform.

USE THIS WITH YOUR QUOTE

Specify the storage opening, not just the box

Ask for a dimensioned locker drawing. The illustrated divided locker is a design concept; the photographed slatted platform does not verify that exact storage configuration.

Discuss your requirements

Check your plan with the people who build it.

Share the load, dimensions and destination. We will help specify the right starting point.
